And now…our favourite… You cannot resist feeling
well here. A fascinating hotel. Each star is worth is worth twice -
minimum. So, it is at the entrance of Potos – the most beautiful
place on Thassos. It is situated right by the sea…the terraces of
the taverns own the most beautiful views of the Aegean. There are
two “public” and a few “private” …pools, a restaurant with a summer
garden by the pool, a tavern with “that kind” of view, bars by the
pool with the same “kind of view”… Accommodation is organized in
lined- up bungalows and hotel blocks which you reach by following
the “Mediterranean green” impeccably grown tree-lined paths… There
are several kinds of rooms: standard with two beds and one or two
additional beds, superior-with a sea view (they are in the second
row of the bungalows), apartments with their own swimming pool. The
rooms are equipped by satellite TV programme, mini-bar, safe, hair
dryer; they are all air-conditioned and have terraces… Choosing
rooms, floors and the view is not an option, but if the situation
allows it, receptionists will try to please your wishes… There is
not an option of sharing a bed in this hotel, so each child has
their own bed. Children’s garden, Spa and Wellness Centre with a
discount for Magic Holidays tourists, three grassy tennis courts, a
sport club on the beach, parking…Lobby bar, Internet café… Meals are
on the basis of buffet with the offer and quantity like in a
magazine…luxurious indeed…and with the most praise from
Magic…tourists…When the food is great like in Aleksandra, we are
completely satisfied (“we” refers to us as a nation with a “eating
cult”). You are left to enjoy a holiday for remembering…and the
ideal one. The hotel is ideal for families with small children, for
couples striving for peace and beauty, for hedonists and for the
tired ones… |

entrance to Potos on the right, the one that you always wonder what
it is? Well, that is…Our new favourite… 70 meters away from the

You were imagining dignified luxury wrapped into some “natural coating” and now that image exists in reality…A beautiful stony façade, interior in modern design, a really lovely swimming pool and especially beautiful surrounding garden, the feeling that you are walking from your own villa through the garden to the beach…which is all in tiny pebbles and sand equipped with umbrellas and easy chairs (they are often charged like Greeks usually do). The hotel is one kilometer away from Potos and they share the same beach. The hotel is located on the edge of the rather large beautiful inlet where you can find a few more small hotels and beach bars…on the beach San Antonio. The hotel has standard double-bedded rooms and family rooms-maisonettes with two beds on the ground floor and two standard beds on the gallery (compulsory for families with two children). Each room has a terrace, but only some of them overlook the sea directly, and of course all rooms have a bathroom. All rooms are air-conditioned and they have TV and a mini-bar. Food is served as a buffet for both meals. We are sure that this hotel will please all of you who are fed up with everything…and you don’t care about anything except the green and the blue, but…if the interest appears, the center of Potos is 20 minutes away…And, of course, if you like beautiful rooms…And if you like being a pioneer…because this is one of the new things…Enjoy. |

Already quite well-known Sotira is situated in the centre of Potos in the street which is the first by the shore and lies in parallel with it. It is also a pedestrian zone. The owner of the house is a nice old lady Maljaras (she is like a character from old Greek movies-wrinkled, but always cheerful face, always dressed in black, very old but with an inevitable permanent wave on her grey hair…). Each studio has well maintenanced furniture in the older style, with a not very big bathroom and not very big terraces some of which are facing the street, and the others facing the alley or a garden… Each studio has an air-condition which is paid separately, but only at your request, it has a TV, too…And, of course, there are sweet basil bushes by each step of the stairs. ..There is a garden with a big table for “summer social activities” (a barbecue and a beer with neighbours) and a parking space for two cars. The rest can park in the street in front of the villa. It was difficult to sell this place the first year, probably because of the description we gave in the catalogue (because a poor Serb is used to all kinds of big and small set-ups and he cannot think of anything else but a disaster as soon as he sees that it is not written that “this is great, this is wonderful”…but now, due to most successful Serbian advertising form - from one person to another - we have mostly regular clientele… |

first time and it made a great surprise. Magic tourists say that the
hygiene is excellent, hosts unnoticeable (accurate and precise like
Germans-a trace of working abroad on a Greek soul…), an excellent

Are you familiar with Ana studios? Of course you
are, and you had only words of praise for them… Well, ANA studios
have renewed with a new accommodation capacity (actually
reconstructed oldest hotel in Potos, named IO). They made it brand
new. This season, it is going to be a modern hotel of the apartment
type. And the name IO which was kept in the original…If it follows
the standard of Ana (only 80 meters away), which it will – we will
be very pleased…It is situated in the “heart” of Potos, on the main
square beside the lovely summer terraces on the beach and nearby the
trading part of the busiest street and promenade. It is 30 meters
away from the beach and it disposes of two-bed and three-bed
studios. Each of them has two or three beds, a niche with the
kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, a terrace. Each studio has a
TV and an air-condition which has to be paid separately and at your
request. Tourists accommodated in the hotel IO use that wonderful
garden parking of the villa Ana and the swimming pool which is only
80 meters away. And…everything is “a step” away…We recommend it to
those who want to have their summer vacation by the beach and to dip
into a turquoise water of the Aegean but also in the indigo water of
the pool. Then again to be close to very popular places for the
nights out…It is excellent, but there is not a lot of it. We advise
speed. |

Have you ever wanted to stay during your summer vacation in a good hotel which is a bit away from the crowd, but still close to it…And to have a swimming pool, but in the shade (when you want to keep away from the sun and to let your kids free) and to have a really lovely beach and the view and that you can feel the scent of the pine trees…to be on the beach which is not crowded…There is such place! Location like from a dream with a swimming pool in the back and a beach in front and in Pefkari (there is no inlet more beautiful on Thassos) you can find everything you need…It is 800 meters away from Potos and it is 27 stairs away from the beautiful beach where you get slowly fast through the tavern where you “scratch” your first frappe …(cold nessssss)…The tavern has few levels where you can have lunch or dinner or just sip your drink… Where you will lose your mind looking at a hundred of pictures and have a great time with the inventive hosts and you will often spend lots of time there till deep in the night…It is good, nice and cheerful there… The hotel has standard rooms with two or three beds. The rooms are equipped with a TV, a fridge, a hair dryer. Each room has a terrace and some of them overlook the sea, but they are hard to get…Some other terraces overlook the swimming pool and the tennis court…of course, each room has a bathroom…they are air-conditioned…There is a fitness at your disposal…The hotel also has studios with three or for beds, but they are not as good as rooms. Accommodation is based as a half board with a decent buffet. This hotel is a family business and, beside the location like from heaven, this hotel is characterized by an exquisite hospitality of the hosts |

In the end of the street…There is magical, famous Green Velvet…Why do I say this…First of all, it has a wonderful name. Second, from time to time, it turns out to be optimally the best little hotel on this coast (when you consider the quality, category, service and the location and compare it with the price- for the reasonable ones- you get yourself an ideal combination). It is 17 meters away from the tavern and the tavern is on the beach and somehow it is the most beautiful one in this line. When I said that sometimes this turns out as the best little hotel on the Pefkari Riviera, I meant that it depends on Philip being in nirvana phase or not. And when he is, he will impress you, seduce you and then leave you; he will do all kinds of things to you. He will take you for a ride in his boat and, day or night, he will take you for a diving as you become a member of his diving school; he will take you for a night out in Limenari which he adores and which makes two of us be in constant conflict… He will seduce you all the time, make some small treats… Come on, let’s have coffee; I adore you, Thassos; come on, let’s drink some uzo… Rooms in his possession are modest and decent, apartments on the ground floor are in the same style, but – and this is true for all the objects in Pefkari – it is a shame to be here and spend time in your room; everything is so close and only a blink away… The best view from a tavern is the one from the tavern Ulysses, where tourists on half board get their food… Let me now remind you of that: you are sitting in a place where your own view seems like somebody else’s channel broke into your monitor … it is that unreal and now, with that impression in your eyes and miraculous pine scent in you nostrils, you are sipping your coffee and having breakfast. |

In the most beautiful place on Thassos, the best of all the “small ones”, with the location that makes your mind spin. Built on the beach, this cute pleasant hotel is 15 meters away from the sea. The hotel also has a restaurant, a summer garden, a beach bar. It always torments us with insufficient number of beds. There are less than 30 rooms placed on the ground floor, the first floor and the loft. Some of them have their own terraces and the others are joint, some overlook the sea but there are very few of the latter ones and they are hard to get. There are rooms with two and three beds. Each room has a bathroom, an air-condition (at your request and it is paid extra), TV, a fridge. The service is based as a half board and it is served in the tavern on the beach. Breakfast is continental; dinner is for you to choose from two menus. MAGIC clients always praise the food and the accommodation in Akti. The hotel is a family business and “you will deal” with Dina, who is very attentive, and her husband “who does not like her guests to be displeased” and who is certain that “nobody can do a job better than she does”… An advice for everybody who are interested: first- a specter of blue shades in every moment, second-summer vacation maximally out, “uncovered” vacation (meaning that you can go in your swimming suit from the beach to the hotel and vice versa…and to a meal…almost like Robinson). The others should get on if they are up to coming here… |

About 80 meters away from the hotel Thassos, on
the way to Potos, placed in the olive orchard, lay Thassos
apartments. They are made in all structures and they consist of two
rooms, hall and a bathroom, and of course, all of them have a
terrace. They are nicely decorated, thoroughly redecorated in
2005…in the first room there is a kitchenette with roll door without
or with one or two beds. In the next room, there is a double bed and
the exit to the terrace which faces a spacious maintenanced garden.
All the apartments are air-conditioned (at your request and paid
extra), and following a nice habit of the hosts to do something new
for every season, they have TVs in rooms now. |
